NewPage was the country’s largest manufacturer of coated paper, but wasn’t well-known among agency creatives and print producers. So we created The Response Project to prove that great paper didn’t just look and feel better — it drove response rates. We conducted research through a direct mail campaign that proved paper was the most important factor in driving response. Agencies responded, and NewPage paper sales grew by 12 million tons in six months.
